Yellow Rose
Inspiration is found in the wilderness, and it doesn’t get more wild and untamed than the open plains of desert lands. Character is forged in these untamed terrains, the sun shifts and transforms the colours of jagged mesas and rocky outcrops, bending and moving their appearance at its will.

Women have long been drawn to these lands ~ the foremother of the feminist art movement, Georgia O’Keeffe, found her muse in the sunburnt landscapes of the American Southwest, and the delicate wildflowers that found their home there. It is this juxtaposition of the delicate and the strong that laid the foundation for our Yellow Rose collection.

In Yellow Rose, her worn satchel is filled with paints and notebooks, filled with memories and the kernels of great ideas. Forever in motion, she still holds room for what matters ~ like her trusted suede jacket that fits her curves like it was created for her, she treasures the love stories she’s made throughout her colourful life.

O’Keeffe once said “I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life - and I’ve never let it keep me from doing a single thing I wanted to do.” This is the spirit of Yellow Rose ~ curiosity and adventure meets vulnerability and a soft, open heart.

For this collection, we utilised three materials that make up the heart of our sustainability focus. LENZING™ ECOVERO™, derived from renewable and certified sustainably managed wood sources, organic cotton, and post-consumer recycled polyester. Designs borrow from old school Spell with modern twists ~ sexy cut outs, flirtatious ruffles and throw-on shirt dress styles. Prints are inspired by O’Keeffe’s works; bursts of desert blooms and earthy, sunset hues. Throw on your favourite pair of cowboy boots and let the sun guide you.

With Yellow Rose, we encourage you to embrace your rebel spirit, and embody the contrasts of our muse ~ a gentle, feminine heart with a determined, fierce soul.

Yellow Rose is a collection for wild souls and a few wild soul creatives brought the old-school Spell vibes and that strong energy that was the essence behind the collection.
